The reduction of errors has proved to be the main driving force for the automation of reference data. Other essential drivers for the surveyed companies are risk management and the reduction of costs. The handling of large data volumes is an issue for 45% of the survey respondents. Surprisingly, only about a third names regulatory requirements as a driver for data automation in times of the financial crsis. Other factors only play a minor role for enterprises.
