2. How do you use reference data in your company?

Most of the interviewed financial institutions claimed that they feed reference data directly into their banking application. Golden copy management is not yet as popular as STP: About a third of the survey respondents use one central data base to manage their reference data. A still very high number of companies is using terminals for looking-up financial market’s data and processes basic, price, and corporate actions data manually. A quarter of this year's respondents are handling reference data in a less automated way by printing out the data and circulating them within the company.
