Front office
-A financial services company is logically broken up into three parts; the front office includes sales personnel and corporate finance, the middle office manages risk and IT resources, and the back office provides administrative and support services.
Generally in business, front office refers to the sales and marketing divisions of a company. It may also refer to other divisions in a company that involve interaction with customers. Customers can be private persons as well as small and large companies.
In
banking this refers to functions/departments such as counter, investment
adviser, security trader, analysts. In Information Technology, front office may
refer to integrated CRM software.
