AIM | Olympic Interface: Description of Functions

This document describes the functions and technical possibilities of the AIM | Olympic interfaces based on AIM Software’s data management solution GAIN DataDesktop. The interfaces are continuously extended and adapted to new Olympic functions in the course of client projects.

The GAIN DataDesktop
The GAIN DataDesktop is an all-in-one data management platform that enables you to access and process messages of a multitude of the world's leading back-office and real-time data feeds in an automated way.

With its automation, routing, reporting and onscreen display features the GAIN DataDesktop eases the day-to-day data management into Olympic considerably.

To automatically import data from data feed providers into OLYMPIC, the GAIN DataDesktop manages the following steps:

  • Communication | Data Conversion | Archiving
  • Metadata Management | Mutation Management
  • Mapping | Reformatting
  • Workflow Management
  • Export into OLYMPIC


For the time being there are ready-made interfaces available for the data feed VDF from Telekurs Financial. Based on the multi-data-feed-functionality of GAIN, other data feed interfaces are possible.


Telekurs (VDF) Interfaces
The following ready-made Telekurs interfaces are available:

  • Security Prices
    • Telekurs Valuation Price (Standard Price)
      • For a given security the most recent quote is loaded
      • In the security valuation currency
    • Daily execution
  • EU Savings Tax
    • Initialisation of EU Tax Data incl.:
      • EU Tax Status
      • % of debt claims (dividends, profit)
      • TID (Taxable Income per Distribution)
      • Ex Dividend Date
      • TIS (Taxable Income per Share)
      • TIS Input Date
      • Calculate Threshold + Publication Date
      • Issue Price + Issue Date
      • Redemption Price + Redemption Date
    • Daily delivery of TIS and TID values
    • Special reports
    • Operation mode: Batch
  • Automatic Security Opening
    • Synchronous ad hoc requests over VDF for static and general information on the security
    • Execution in interactive mode
    • At any time, depending on the user activity.
    • Possibility to check legacy data with VDF


Technical options
The above described interfaces can be implemented in 2 technical ways:

  • With ERI Loader
  • With direct database import (except automatic security opening)


Configuration options of the interfaces

  • Adjustments of mappings between VDF codes and OLYMPIC internal IDs by using mapping tables.
  • Extended configuration possibilities through parameterised scripts.
    • Easy client-specific parametrisation
